A confident, elegant brand identity that supports the launch of a new salon and attracts both clients and independent professionals.

About the project

Nina & Co was created as a brand new salon, opening to the public for the first time. While Nina had previously worked independently from her home salon, Hair by Nina & Co marked a significant next step — a physical space designed to house a collective of skilled individuals within the hair and beauty industry.

As a completely new venture, the salon needed a strong brand foundation from day one — something that would feel established, professional and premium, while also allowing room for growth as the business evolved.

The Brief

The goal was to create a brand identity that felt:

  • Elegant and timeless

  • Calm, confident and considered

  • Professional enough to support a public-facing salon launch

  • Flexible enough to represent a collective of individuals, not just one person

Nina wanted the brand to feel elevated and aspirational, without being cold or unapproachable - reflecting the experience she envisioned for both clients and professionals working within the space.

The Challenge

Launching a brand new salon comes with unique challenges. The branding needed to instantly communicate trust, quality and professionalism, despite being a new name with no existing public presence.

It was important that the identity:

  • Didn’t feel like a personal brand tied solely to Nina

  • Reflected a shared space and collective ethos

  • Felt established rather than “new”

  • Would age well and remain relevant long-term

The challenge was to balance warmth and elegance while creating a brand that could grow beyond the founder alone.

Strategic Approach

We began by defining the foundations of Nina & Co as a brand, not just a salon.

The strategy focused on:

  • Positioning Nina & Co as a premium, welcoming space

  • Creating a neutral yet luxurious visual language

  • Using restraint in colour and typography to allow longevity

  • Designing a brand system that could flex across multiple professionals and services

Every decision was made with the salon’s future in mind - ensuring the brand could scale while remaining cohesive and recognisable.

The Solution

created a complete brand identity system designed specifically for a new salon launch.

This included:

  • A refined logo suite that works across signage, digital and print

  • A soft, neutral colour palette designed to feel calm and luxurious

  • Elegant typography to support a premium positioning

  • Clear brand guidelines to ensure consistency as the business grows

  • A website design that introduces the salon confidently to the public

The identity was designed to feel established from the outset, giving Nina & Co a strong and professional presence ahead of opening.

The Outcome

Nina & Co launched with a brand identity that feels confident, elegant and intentional.

The branding positions the salon as a premium destination within the hair and beauty industry, helping to attract both clients and independent professionals who align with the salon’s values and aesthetic.

Most importantly, the brand gives Nina a solid foundation to grow a collective business — not just a personal service.
